It is quite often that we produce a picture that looks so beautiful to us, but other people find it quite useless. One won't put it in a family album, and most people would neglect it if you try to sell a print. Many will criticise it for bad horison, bad exposure, cut off heads or legs, and anything else. But it would be precious for us anyway.
Here's a new project at Flickr: Quite Useless.

If for example I would print a booklet book made of selection of my favorites (of course with all author permissions and credits), would you like to order it? What would be acceptable price for you? Say, US$20 or 30? It's not for profit, but for sole pleasure. 100% of the price will be spent on printing expenses. At lulu.com, for example.
Для тех кто в танке: сколько бы вы (вот персонально вы) заплатили бы за брошюрку книжку с картинками?
Upd: for instance, a book with good binding, 100 pages 9x7 inch (22.8 x 17.8 cm) would cost $19.53 plus shipment. |
